2. Offensive Line
Injuries have plagued The Swamp this offseason, particularly at the offensive line spot. Many thought it would be impossible for them to even play a spring game because of lack of depth on the line, but they’ve decided to go forward with it. Starting offensive tackle Rod Johnson will not participate because of a “stinger”, that just leaves the Gators with just six healthy linemen.
McElwain has publicly made comments about the lack of depth he’s inherited at Florida, sparking debate between he and Muschamp. However, the good news is there will be three prospective offensive linemen visiting Florida this weekend. It will be imperative that they leave Gainesville with a good impression, because Florida is desperate for bodies on the line.
One more injury to their offensive line could be devastating, so hopefully they make it through the spring game unscathed. The injury bug hit the Gators hard the last few years and are due for some good health.
