1. Quarterback Battle

The biggest question for the Gators this offseason is the quarterback position. They have four different players vying for the starting position, and as of now, Will Grier is the leading candidate. Grier, a redshirt freshman, was highly touted in high school and was ranked by most major media outlets as the second best quarterback prospect in 2014.

However, he faces competition from Treon Harris and two walk-ons. Harris replaced Jeff Driskel midway through last season; he was wildly inconsistent and finished with just over 1,000 yards and a completion percentage under 50%, although he was a starter, his spot is far from guaranteed.

Jacob Guy and Skyler Mornhinweg are both long shots to win the competition, but they have an opportunity to impress Jim McElwain during the spring. Guy and Mornhinweg possess good size for the position and both were 3-star recruits coming out of high school.

The spring game should help us, and the Gators, identify a front-runner for the position.
