This year’s game was important to see how the quarterbacks looked with Jameis Winston off to the NFL where he is the likely choice as the No. 1 pick in the draft at the end of the month.
With Sean McGuire taking over as the the team’s starting quarterback with only one start under his belt, this was an important step toward a solid 2015 season. Fortunately for McGuire, he has a ton of young and dynamic talent to work with on a team that returns 13 starters.
Dalvin Cook was the team’s best running back last year as a freshman and is now the featured back with Karlos Williams headed to the NFL and made some nice plays as did freshman wide receiver George Campbell.
The defense is reloading again after losing talent to the draft, but the return of Jalen Ramsey and Reggie Northrup have the Seminoles poised to contend for a second straight trip to the College Football Playoff.
