Bolden was a bright spot for the Beavers as they were one game short of making a bowl game last year. Sure, he’s only 5’9″ 175 pounds, but this guy is a deep threat who can also turn short catches into long runs.

In 2014, he had 72 receptions for 798 yards, and he also carried the ball 19 times for 118 yards. Bolden had four, 100-yard receiving games, and he had more than 50 yards three other times. It was never his fault that Oregon State was losing games.

Going into this year, as a shorter receiver, even if they throw it less, Bolden could also see himself thriving in Andersen’s system. We will have to wait and see, but a versatile player like him is perfect in that offense.

Junior, Oregon State Beavers

As the Oregon State Beavers likely switch to a more run-oriented spread offense with Gary Andersen replacing Mike Riley as head coach of the program, there is a very good chance that Victor Bolden will see his numbers drop some.

But it has no bearing on how good he actually is as a wide receiver.
