Devon Modster commits to Arizona: Wildcats get 4-star Quarterback
The Arizona Wildcats received the verbal commitment from four-star quarterback Devon Modster on Wednesday afternoon.
Arizona added four-star quarterback Devon Modster (Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Tesoro) on Wednesday afternoon to give the Wildcats their fifth commitment for the 2016 class.

The 6-2, 215-pound quarterback is the nation’s No. 289 overall recruit, No. 10 pro-style quarterback and the No. 40 recruit in the state of California, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He gives head coach Rich Rodriguez a quarterback for this class after losing five-star quarterback Shea Patterson who decommitted and later committed to Ole Miss.
Modster committed to Arizona over his finalists, Boise State and UCLA.
He completed 191-of-344 passes last year as a junior at Tesoro High for 2,602 yards, 24 touchdowns and nine interceptions. Modster also added 680 yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground. You can check out his highlights from his junior year from his Hudl page below.
With the commitment of Modster on Wednesday, Arizona now owns the nation’s No. 36 class overall and the No. 6 class in the Pac-12, according to the 247Sports team rankings. You can see the full list of their commitments for this year’s class below.
