The Virginia Tech Hokies have their spring game on April 25 and these are the five things you should be watching for when they take the field.
In 2014 the Virginia Tech Hokies had another down year by Frank Beamer’s standards. They finished with an uninspired 7-6 record, with an above average defense and a below average offense. The same issue that has plagued Beamer for the past few years got him again. Instability on offense, that was unable to support an all-star defense led by defensive guru Bud Foster.

This year the Hokies have some growing offensive talent, led by Isaiah Ford at wide receiver, as well as a talented duo at tailback in J.C. Coleman and Marshawn Williams. Those players should be able to guide an above average offense for Tech, but then the variable. The quarterback.
Only Beamer can tell if Michael Brewer is the answer for this season and if the answer is on the roster at the moment.
Other than quarterback Virginia Tech has some obvious talent on defense that should lead to a top 15 scoring defense once again, but quarterbacks can cost teams wins with their play as coach Beamer can attest.
With that being said there are more story lines to watch for at the Virginia Tech spring game than just quarterback.
