3. Can the 3-4 Defense be Better?
The 2015 season will be the second season for the Brian Knorr 3-4 defense and like the team as a whole, they can only get better. The Hoosiers gave up more than 30 points per game last year, which extends their streak to eight years with a defense yielding that many points.
Knorr will have his hands full this offseason as he lost at least five starters from last year’s defense and will have to replace those bodies with underclassmen. There has been mixed reviews coming out of the spring practices but there is still five months until the season kicks off.
Indiana has been notorious for having terrible defenses but Wilson has recruited more athletic players for the defensive side of the ball and it will be interesting to see which underclassmen step up to try and win a job.
