3. Leonard Fournette’s Heisman Campaign?
Leonard Fournette was the No. 1 recruit in the nation in and, along with Malachi Dupre, one of the crown jewel’s of LSU’s recruiting class last year and Cameron said he is the most improved player on offense. That’s scary.
He got off to a slow start to his career and didn’t resemble the “next Adrian Peterson” for a while, but he still managed to gain 1,034 yards and score 10 touchdowns in 2014.
Fournette really came into his own during LSU’s last two games, a victory over Texas A&M and a loss to Notre Dame in their bowl game. In that span, Fournette carried the rock 293 yards and scored three touchdowns.
While coaching staffs tend to protect their stars during spring games, LSU fans will be watching Fournette to see if the strong momentum from the end of 2014 will carry through into the spring and beyond. If Fournette lives up to his potential come the fall of 2015, LSU’s rushing attack will be fearsome.
