4. How Will The New Look Receiver Corps Fare?

Two key departures for the Horns in 2015 are wide receivers Jaxon Shipley and John Harris. Shipley and Harris combined for 1,628 yards and eight touchdowns in 2015, a whopping sixty-two percent of the Longhorns passing offense.

But, Texas has a number of capable wide receivers who are looking to step up in 2015. Armanti Foreman, Marcus Johnson, Jacorey Warrick, Lorenzo Joe and Daje Johnson will all be vying for reps in the Longhorns offense.

Key to their success will be the emergence of a competent quarterback who can effectively get them the ball. So while one or two receivers who can match or surpass Shipley’s and Harris’ production must emerge, at the end of the day the success or failure of the Longhorns receivers corps will hinge on the quarterback.
