Incoming freshman and five-star recruit, Soso Jamabo was arrested on Saturday night on multiple charges.

Soso Jamabo was arrested late early Sunday morning on alcohol consumption and fleeing police, among other charges after one of the crown jewels of UCLA’s recruiting class attended his high school prom.

According to a report from the Dallas Morning News, Jamabo was held on charges of evading arrest with a vehicle, minor consumption of alcohol, minor in possession of alcohol, speeding, driving without possessing a driver’s license and disregarding a stop sign.

Jamabo was at the Plano West prom last night so it sounds like Jamabo was at a post-prom party like many high school students attend after the dance but made a series of poor decisions that could impact his status with the Bruins when he enrolls this summer.

He picked UCLA over Texas on National Signing Day and was the nation’s No. 32 overall recruit, No. 2 running back and the No. 4 recruit in the state of Texas, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He rushed for 2,279 yards and 44 touchdowns as a senior and also played for the Plano West basketball team that won the 6A state title.

UCLA released this statement via Jack Wang of the LA Daily News:

If you’re UCLA head coach Jim Mora, how do you discipline Jamabo?
