Comparing College Football Programs to Families from Game of Thrones

Game of Thrones meets college football in this fight for the iron throne.
New episodes of Game of Thrones are back in our lives again after the HBO show had it’s Season 5 premiere last Sunday, which means it’s one of the only things on our minds other than football.

And that got me to thinking, what if those two things were combined? What if the Iron Throne was really the national championship?
What if different teams in college football became the families who are all fighting each other for it? Who would be the Lannisters and who would be the Tyrells? Which team is most similar to the Mother of Dragons, and which team’s reality resembles the current plight of the Starks?
When you play the Game of Thrones, you either win or you die. When you play for the college football championship, you either win or you have to wait another entire year to try again (there’s no way to make that sound more dramatic).
