That’s right. Urban Meyer’s old school with a new coach would be great for Braxton Miller.

Jim McElwain’s first year at Florida keeps being dismissed as a rebuilding year, but if you break down recruiting over the past few years and his strong finish for the 2015 class, the cupboard is far from empty. And the defense has not been a problem at all the past four years, so as long as he can get the offense up to par, things should be fine.

Imagine what adding Miller would do there. He would likely become the starter immediately, and while it would only be for a year, McElwain would not have to worry about much of a rebuilding phase at all. His pro-style offense is all built around adapting to and maximizing his players’ skills.

Miller would put up huge numbers there because McElwain would be able to simplify the offense if he only had a few months to work with him. And if that became the case, combined with a strong defense, Florida would immediately contend for the SEC East.

It is already a bit premature to count them out of the running, even if Georgia and Tennessee appear more poised to take the division.

That becomes even more so the case if Miller goes there.
