Parker is the nation’s No. 168 overall recruit, No. 11 athlete and the No. 25 recruit in the state of California, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is listed as an athlete but likely projects as a cornerback at UCLA.
Despite his four-star ranking and status as a top-200 recruit, Parker is a bit of a diamond in the rough with only six reported offers to his name.
He did hold offers from the likes of USC, Arizona State, Cal, Oregon State and Washington State so he had interest from the state’s top programs and half of the Pac-12, but despite his commitment I expect him receiving many more offers leading up to and during his senior year.
With the addition of Parker to the UCLA class for 2016, the Bruins now have the nation’s No. 8 class and the No. 1 class in the Pac-12 in what promises to be a good battle between rival USC for the honors of the conference’s best class.
