Leah Still scores touchdown in Temple spring game (Video)
Four-year-old cancer survivor Leah Still stole the show at Temple’s spring game with a long touchdown to celebrate her cancer being in remission.
Four-year-old Leah Still stole out hearts with her very brave and public battle with cancer last year as the daughter of Cincinnati Bengals defensive tackle, Devon Still, shared her story with the nation.
The Bengals promoted him to the active roster so he could receive insurance to help cover the cost of his daughter’s treatment and sales of his jersey went to help cover the mounting medical bills as she fought a brave fight.
The great news is Still announced in March that Leah’s cancer is in remission and on Saturday she got to celebrate and have some fun with the Temple football team as they played their spring game.
Still played at Penn State so it’s awfully cool to see Temple open their hearts and welcome the Still family as one of their own on Saturday and let her on the field and she even got to take a screen to the house for a touchdown.
Check out the video below, courtesy of Temple.
Now, that’s how you start the spring game! She took it all the way to the house for a 45-yard touchdown and has a memory that she’ll never forget and always cherish.
That’s just one of the many reasons why we love sports.
Plus, she’s got bragging rights over her daddy now who has never scored a touchdown.
