All of those players have worked out for the most part, Addai being a bit of an underachiever. But the rest are studs when healthy. Only Craig Davis was a first-round bust under Miles outside of one big one: JaMarcus Russell.

Okay, so LSU has the biggest first-round bust in history bringing its stock way down, but as a whole, under Miles, first-rounders have panned out. And remember, those two busts first played under Nick Saban.

Speaking of Saban, the 2005 class included his players, and Marcus Spears was a decent first-rounder.

But going beyond the first round, LSU has loaded the NFL with draft picks who have worked out well, so they deserve this No. 2 ranking. These players aren’t taken based on hype, and they almost always live up to expectations.

LSU Tigers

Players Drafted: 63, First Round Picks: 14

If the LSU Tigers had not backed their way into the national title game in 2007 with two losses on the resume, we would be able to be sitting here calling Les Miles a massive underachiever as well. But luckily, he has that title, and his overall wins and conference championships to go with it cement his resume matching the NFL talent.

LSU has loaded the NFL with draft picks who became studs, most recently Odell Beckham, who went in the first round last year. But there was Eric Reid the year before, Barkevious Mingo that same year, Morris Claiborne and Michael Brockers in 2012, Patrick Peterson in 2011, Tyson Jackson in 2009, Glenn Dorsey in 2008, LaRon Landry, Dwayne Bowe, and Joseph Addai in 2006.

All of those players have worked out for the most part, Addai being a bit of an underachiever. But the rest are studs when healthy. Only Craig Davis was a first-round bust under Miles outside of one big one: JaMarcus Russell.
