The Saturday Blitz NFL Mock Draft for the first round might have a few surprises. Should Jameis Winston go No. 1. Should Marcus Mariota go Top 5? Find out here.
Welcome to NFL Draft week.
As with every draft, we’ve heard every projection, rumor, point in favor and point against major prospects as much as we possibly could.
And it’s still not enough.

But here at Saturday Blitz, being a college football site, we tend to be a bit biased with our draft coverage. Instead of overweighing athleticism, potential, combine performances, and all of that stuff, we do this crazy thing of plugging in the tape and going by the eye test. We judge draft prospects by how they performed in college football.
What you do counts for something. That doesn’t mean the other things aren’t taken into account, and it also doesn’t mean that the systems players are in along with a ton of other factors aren’t taken into account. Even the systems teams run in the NFL and team needs count.
But it’s all from the perspective of their value on the college football field.
With that, this year’s draft is about a heck of a lot more than just Jameis Winston or Marcus Mariota. And are we even sure that both of those guys should be the Top 2 picks?
