30. player. 49.
Most teams need to draft on needs and upgrades in the first round and limit risks. That would mean avoiding Todd Gurley since he has shown himself to be injury-prone.

But the Green Bay Packers have shown success through the years by building almost solely through the draft and only taking the best player available no matter what. They may have a loaded offense, they may have Aaron Rodgers, they may have a running game with Eddie Lacy, but Todd Gurley could still be on the board by the time he falls to Green Bay.

And Ted Thompson should stick to his philosophy and take him. Other teams should not take him because of the risk. The Packers can afford the risk.

And the reward would be amazing if healthy. Gurley can do it all: return punts, catch balls out of the backfield, and run down anybody’s throat. Against SEC defenses last year in only six games last year he had 123 carries for 911 yards, more than seven yards per carry on average, and nine touchdowns. He single-handedly won the game against Tennessee.

There is no reason for the Packers to pass up on him, and fully healthy, imagine how absolutely amazing Green Bay’s offense would be with him. We are talking about somebody who literally does everything, and he could compete with Aaron Rodgers for the star of the offense.

It’s another major addition to the Packers, and they would have such a diversity of options that they’d be impossible to stop. If he’s here, he’s worth the risk.
. Running Back. Georgia Bulldogs. Todd Gurley
