57.
Jay Cutler is still with the Bears. So Marcus Mariota will not be.

This is a team for Amari Cooper. He is still a great receiver who can go up and catch lots of balls, but a huge strength of his is being a route-runner.

That and timing will be really good for a guy like Jay Cutler trying to get his career back on track. Cutler has a strong arm and is very accurate, so to be able to throw to Cooper will be a huge deal.

He also needs a smart and athletic receiver to bail him out of some of the risks he takes. That is Cooper to the core.

But even more importantly, Cooper is such a crisp player that Cutler won’t have to improvise as much throwing the ball to him as he has had to in the past. And, most likely, Cooper will never be much of a head-case. He and Alshon Jeffery would make a perfect combination. This could make the Bears what they were supposed to be when they hired Mark Trestman.

And the Bears need to get back to playing tough, physical football. Coming from Alabama, Nick Saban will have beaten physical play into Cooper, so this is a perfect fit.
. Wide Receiver. Alabama Crimson Tide. Amari Cooper. 7. player
