Every year, there is always a group of future stars taken late in the NFL Draft. Here are the Top 10 NFL Draft Steals of the Past 10 Years.

There is virtually a 100 percent chance that this year, as the past 10 years, multiple future pro-bowlers will be selected in the later rounds of the NFL Draft.

You could win a Super Bowl with players in the league right now who were taken in the sixth and seventh rounds, obviously built around Tom Brady. So why do players fall so low in the draft?

Lack of experience, a bad combine and pro-day, size, college performance, and college competition all bring teams down. Many times players from low-ranking football schools are stolen because there was no way to know, based on where they played, that they would become stars in the NFL.

Often times, a player’s college performance is completely overlooked because of stupid exterior factors. Tom Brady performed extremely well his senior year, but a bad pro-day and an idiotic decision by Lloyd Carr to have him split playing time the first half of the season with Drew Henson, which ultimately cost the Michigan Wolverines a national title, were the factors that dropped him to the seventh round.

If coaches just plugged in the tape and watched him play, it’s obvious Brady would have been a first-round pick.

But regardless of the reason they are overlooked, plenty of players have gone on from college to become stars in the NFL despite no draft hype whatsoever.

Let’s take a look at the Top 10 NFL Draft steals over the past 10 years. For this article, we are only going to go by guys taken in one of the later rounds. A third or fourth rounder is not really a major steal.
