Bobby Petrino: Jabba the Hutt

Okay come on everybody, you all have got to give me some love for this great comparison.

Jabba the Hutt was a narcissistic womanizer who broke lots of rules. Does that sound familiar to anybody? Yep.

Jabba broke lots of promises, many of which were to his own loyalists.

Petrino broke promises to Louisville, Atlanta, Arkansas, and then left Western Kentucky after one year.

Jabba’s lying caught up with him when he tried to mess with a Jedi.

Petrino’s lying caught up with him when he tried to get on a motorcycle.

Okay, those last two don’t make sense, but the rest do. And Petrino has indeed struggled with the Jedi named on this list. He lost to Jimbo Fisher last year, and while at Arkansas, he could never supplant Les Miles or Nick Saban to make the Razorbacks the beasts of the SEC West.

So while Petrino is a guy nobody likes, he has simply not dominated the college football world enough to be a super-villain. The same held true for Jabba the Hutt as a Star Wars character. In fact, many people were simply annoyed that he was such a huge part of the first half of Return of the Jedi.
