Every year in college football there are one or two teams who dramatically underachieve. Here are the 10 biggest college football flops the past 10 years.
The dreaded bust label is sure to hit somebody this year. It always does.
In college football, teams can be overhyped for many reasons. They either could be returning lots of starters, be coming off a successful season, or have a great recruiting class.

All three factors play a role in preseason experts over hyping teams if they don’t read between the lines, but in which cases were they the biggest victims of that?
Determining the biggest college football flops of the past 10 years took a lot of nitpicking, and the criteria could be different from person to person.
But here, these teams had to be at least projected to contend for their conference championships and be in the race for the national championship. That way, they really left their fan bases disappointed.
Then they had to finish the year unranked. That helped us narrow down the list a lot.
And as we get closer to the top of the list, it is pretty clear that these teams were gigantic busts, so here are the top 10 college football flops in over the past 10 years.
