Taj Williams commits to TCU: Horned Frogs get No. 1 JUCO recruit
TCU landed a big commitment Saturday when the top JUCO receiver in Taj Williams committed to the program.
The Horned Frogs landed a big commitment on Saturday, landing the top junior college receiver in Taj Williams. A member of the class of 2016, Williams (Tallahassee, FL. Lincoln) took to Twitter to announce his decision that he was committing to TCU.

Williams is a four-star recruit and the No. 1 junior college recruit in the nation. Playing at Iowa Western Community College, he put up impressive numbers, catching 77 passes for 945 yards and 11 touchdowns. The Reivers as a team went 11-1 in the 2014 campaign, good enough for a No. 3 ranking in the NJCAA polls.

Williams was one of the most sought-after recruits in the country, receiving scholarship offers from several teams, including Florida State, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Alabama, Auburn and Florida, among others. Wide receiver coach Curtis Luper was the primary member of TCU’s staff involved win the recruitment of Williams.
This is a huge commit for the Horned Frogs to add another weapon to one of the best offensive schemes in the country and should be an immediate starter.
He could emerge as a favorite target for former Texas A&M signal-caller Kenny Hill who will be eligible next year to replace Trevone Boykin after sitting out the mandatory one year for transferring.
With today’s commitment from Williams, TCU has gotten commitments from three-star linebacker Clifton Lewis and four-star all-purpose running back Trayveon Williams now has the nation’s No. 9 class overall and the No. 1 class in the Big 12.
