Phil Steele’s 2015 preseason All-SEC teams
Phil Steele unveiled his highly anticipated preseason All-SEC teams for the upcoming 2015 season which is sure to spark some debate in the southeast part of the country.
The SEC hasn’t won a national title in football for two straight years but is still widely considered the premier conference in college football and home to the top talent in the country.

All-American teams and the NFL Draft was littered with players from the SEC and this year’s preseason All-SEC team is sure to see some players in contention for the Heisman Trophy in the winter and spots on All-American teams when the year ends.
After he was named the All-SEC quarterback last year, Mississippi state Bulldogs quarterback Dak Prescott heads up the first-team offense but it’s in-state rival, Ole Miss that leads the way with three selection on the first team.
The strength of SEC offenses this year is at the running back position where it’s so deep that Jonathan Williams and Jalen Hurd are third-team picks, when they could be first-team picks in most other power five conferences.
The most intriguing name on the offensive teams is Auburn quarterback Jeremy Johnson who enters his first year as the starter after backing up Nick Marshall the last two years and the junior signal-caller is receiving a lot of hype for his big-play ability.
But as great as the offensive talent is in the SEC, the conference prides itself on its defenses, particularly along the defensive line where Myles Garrett, A’Shawn Robinson and Robert Nkemdiche headline the first-team. Just look at the third-team from Steele and how nasty that looks and you’ll get a feel for the depth of the top conference in college football.
