College Football Playoff semifinal times announced
The times for the “New Year’s Six” College Football Playoff Games were announced on Tuesday, with the games spread out over New Year’s Eve and Day.
Listen up college football fans. The times for the College Football Playoff Semifinals have been released and it could result in you cancelling any plans for New Year’s Eve. The games, given the moniker “New Year’s Six” will occur on December 31 and January 1 with three games occurring on New Year’s Eve and three taking place on New Year’s Day.

This is a change-up from last year as last year’s semifinals were played on New Year’s Day. Now, you can watch the ball drop in Times Square while watching footballs drop into the end zone with an appearance in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game at stake.
The Orange Bowl and the Cotton Bowl will host the two College Football Playoff Semifinals. The order in which those games will occur will be announced on December 6, which happens to be the same day the four teams who will be playing in the College Football Playoff will be revealed. The schedule for the bowl games is as follows.

As a college football fan and overall football enthusiast, I love this schedule. New Years Eve/Day are two already fun-filled holidays and now the addition of college football makes it even better.
What better way to ring in the New Year and celebrate 2016 than with some high-intensity, passion-filled football games? It sounds great to me, and just another reason to look forward to one of the most underrated holidays of the year.
