The Noles have built a pipeline in the DMV/Tidewater area in recent years and that paid off on Friday afternoon with the commitment from three-star offensive tackle Josh Ball (Fredericksburg, VA. Stafford Sr.) after he announced his decision on Twitter, via Rivals.

Ball is 6-7, 305-pounds and a three-star recruit in the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is the nation’s No. 352 overall recruit, No. 37 player at his position and the No. 10 recruit in the state of Virginia, according to the Composite. He picked Florida State over offers from the likes of LSU, Miami, Auburn and Virginia Tech, among others.

“My visit there with Coach [Rick] Trickett and all the coaches, it kinda felt like home,” Ball told Warchant.com after making his commitment public. “Going around the campus, not even talking to the coaches, and meeting people it was a home feeling … and I had it in my heart that that was the place for me.”

Ball is the 15th commit for Fisher’s 2016 class that ranks as the nation’s best. He is the first offensive tackle to commit and the third offensive lineman, joining four-star center Baveon Johnson and three-star guard/center Andrew Boselli.
