Every year, there are a number of college football teams who surprise everybody. Here are the Top 25 teams who exceeded expectations the past decade.
Last week, we brought you the most disappointing teams over the past decade in college football.
Well, just as there are teams that let you down and fall drastically short of expectations on a yearly basis, there are teams who exceed expectations as well.

Over the past 10 years, plenty of teams have shocked the college football world by putting together very good seasons, reeling off Top 10 finishes, conference championships, undefeated seasons, and even a national championship.
Certain teams have made a habit of surprising analysts every year, just as other teams have had a habit of disappointing analysts. To make this list, we tried our best to limit it to teams that finished at or near the Top 10 and started the year unranked with just a couple of exceptions.
Quite a few started the year unranked and finished the season undefeated or in the Top Five. Those were incredibly remarkable achievements.
And one team changed the course of college football by their surprising season. We will get to that much later.
