Breakout Player to Watch For-Mike Boone

Last year, Mike Boone was a by-committee running back and still managed to average nearly six and a half yards per carry, rushing for 650 yards and nine touchdowns. This year, he has got the season to himself to be the superstar.

Kiel’s antics and high-usage rate at quarterback will be much more efficient with a great running back, and he will be very grateful to be able to rely on Boone as much as he needs to.

As the feature back, Boone could be a 1,000-yard rusher and average a touchdown a game. In this pass-oriented offense, those would be very good numbers, and he will be appreciated near the same level as Kiel by the end of the season.

Remember Boone was only a freshman last year. Now is his chance to explode onto the college football scene, at least among the Group of Five stars.

At 5’10” 205 pounds, the feature back picked up all of his numbers despite not playing the first four games of the season as well. So now, he enters 2015 as the main starter and a full offseason of practice under his belt.

When he starts the season, he will be ready to dominate.
