Lee is ranked the No. 246 overall player in his class, the No. 45 overall wide receiver in his class and the No. 37 overall player in the state of California per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

His recruitment was handled by recruiting coordinator/defensive line coach Angus McClure with inside wide receivers coach Taylor Mazzone serving the role of secondary recruiter.

Many teams were vying for Lee’s services, particularly out west as Colorado, Fresno State, Utah, Washington, and Washington State were among the teams that extended offers to him.

Lee had a tremendous high school sophomore campaign last season as he caught 33 passes for 616 yards and two touchdowns. He also showed that he was an effective ground threat, rushing the rock 13 times for 117 yards.

With this commitment, the Bruins now have seven four-star commitments in the class and 13 commitments in the class overall. That is good enough for No. 9 nationally and the top overall class in the Pac-12 per the 247Sports team rankings.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 174 pounds, Lee can use his size and speed to create match-up problems for his defenders, especially in the red zone which is where he may be able to be used most effectively. As he showed in high school he is a reliable pass-catcher who has the ability to make plays. As noted, he committed as an athlete so this gives the program some flexibility in regards to where they think he will fit best.

UCLA has been on a roll recruiting-wise and it continued on Wednesday with the commitment of Lee. As the days of summer begin to heat up, so has recruiting and the Bruins can certainly attest to that.
