Wake Forest Demon Deacons

Imagine Dragons-Radioactive

This is a pump-up song on its own merits, and it is perfect for a marching band to play anyway. But the Wake Forest Demon Demons have got to make this their fight song because it fits in perfectly with what they would be doing as a football program.

For starters, the song is intimidating to the point of demonic, and these guys are indeed the Demon Deacons. Also, they are a sleeping program that could wake up and make a splash if things were done right there.

So why not make this the fight song? In fact, saying that Wake Forest is waking up is a perfect metaphor that has a very nice ring to it. Imagine Dragons should go ahead and get moving with that as the fight song and it’s gladiator sound.

The trumpets could play the sing part at the beginning with the saxophones providing the harmony, then they could go right into the song. And it is very percussive when done right, so the drum line could add lots of their own flare to it.

Wake Forest may be at the bottom of the ACC, but there is no reason they can’t send a signal that they are ready to rise to the top with this song.
