Iowa Hawkeyes

Wiz Khalida-Black and Yellow

We are going back to Wiz Khalifa, but come on! This is the perfect song!

The Iowa Hawkeyes have the colors black and yellow, so they could just steal the song Wiz did for the Pittsburgh Steelers and use it as their own. Given the guy’s appeal to college kids anyway, it is very unlikely that Wiz Khalifa would care at all.

The beat is something the band could work out easily, with the trumpets in the lead playing the most noteworthy part of the beat and the saxophones playing the part where Wiz Khalifa sings, “Black and Yellow Black and Yellow Black and Yellow Black and Yellow.”

Everybody in Iowa would get down with that and probably sing that to anybody that walks by. The older fans would all probably be in on that as well. The verses would be hard to do, unfortunately, because Wiz does not have much of a melodic tone in his raps.

But the chorus would be easy, and everybody in the stadium would get hype to it as it is playing. So despite the fact that they are stuck in the early 20th century with their style of play, Iowa could join the 21st century with this music.
