Oklahoma Sooners

Lil Wayne ft. Drake-Right Above It

They have had bust seasons over the past 15 years, but in all reality, the Oklahoma Sooners and Bob Stoops have been victims of their own successes.

After all, this is a program that has the record for the longest winning streak in the history of the sport, and under Stoops it has a national championship and eight Big 12 championships.

Essentially, anything short of a championship every year has fans calling for Stoops’s head. So they cannot fall short of heaven.

And you know you are at the top when only heaven is right above it, as Lil Wayne and Drake said in this song, so it should be the fight song for the Oklahoma Sooners. There is already a trumpet instrumental playing the beat at the beginning.

Have the trumpets play that as part of the fight song along with the harmonizing percussive beat, which the french horns can join in on too.

Then have the saxophones play the other part of the beat that comes in. At that point the Oklahoma motto can be “You know you are at the top when only heaven is right above it.”

Every Oklahoma fan has the right to feel on top of the world just like the Young Money crew is right now in real life.
