Texas Longhorns

Jay Z ft. UGK-Big Pimpin

It is the Texas Longhorns here! Let’s get to the heart of current Texas music and the idea where everything is bigger. The Longhorns have oil money and all the resources they need, so they are big pimpin’ and spending cheese just like Jay Z with his insanely wealthy self.

Meanwhile, this is a song that put the Texas hip hop sound on the map with the legend of UGK, made up of Bun B and the late Pimp C. So it is a perfect representation of the state of Texas and the arrogance that comes with the program.

This is once again another song where the band does not need a specific instrumentation to make this right because there are many ways they could go with it, but no matter how they chose to do it, the fans would eventually embrace it.

This song gives off the vibe of being big and better, the same vibe everybody at Texas likes to give off. So go ahead and mix the two together for a level of arrogance unmatched anywhere else.

And before I get hounded, please note that I will say this arrogance is warranted. Texas is big and rich. That’s pretty much what the song is about.
