UCLA Bruins

Rihanna-Disturbia

The UCLA Bruins have always had a solid football program, but they have not been as great as they could have been in the past. That is until recently, though, with what Jim Mora is building there. The Bruins could now be on their way to becoming a very good college football program, and something is coming over the fan base there.

They are becoming intent on football, even more interested in the sport that basketball, and doing that is borderline blasphemous. Essentially, the school is being possessed in what could be considered the opposite of what their values have always been, but at the same time, we could be embracing it.

Rihanna’s Disturbia is similar to that, where she is becoming overtaken by evil but at the same time could be enjoying it. Why not make the connection? It would be an even better fit if UCLA does indeed complete the transformation to a football school.

The band could play this in a number of ways, so it does not need an explanation on how this would be a perfect marching band song. But the Bruins could use it to also be intimidating to opponents coming into the stadium.
