No. 1: Alabama Crimson Tide
Why they can win it: Nick Saban, Great Defense, Solid Running Game
What help will they need: Special Teams, Depth in Secondary
Who’s in their way: Georgia, Auburn, LSU
Even if you’re sick of hearing about Alabama, you can’t deny they always seem to have the talent and the ability to find their way to the top of the rankings. Saban has already proven in the past he can win it all without a great quarterback and he may have to do it again in 2015.
Like Georgia, the quarterback position is kind of up for grabs. Jake Coker could be the answer, but it almost seems like Saban has never really been sold on the former Seminole.
But Alabama can play defense, and they can run the ball, and they have probably the best college football coach in the nation…and for those reasons, you have to believe that they are never removed from the championship conversation.
