Week 12- Michigan State at Ohio State
The penultimate week of the regular season for most teams sees a number of premier programs hosting cupcakes or tune-up games before their rivalry game in the final week of the regular season, but a few sexy matchups await.
USC at Oregon, LSU at Ole Miss, TCU at Oklahoma and Michigan State at Ohio State are the games I’m considering. If Oregon can prove life after Marcus Mariota isn’t as bleak as some may believe it will be and USC is marching toward a Pac-12 title, this would make for a great environment in Eugene.
I’m already giving Ole Miss one game, so they can’t get a second one unless both LSU and Ole Miss are undefeated at this point. TCU could be undefeated at this point and Oklahoma should be improved after the train wreck season they experienced a year ago, but I’m heading to the Shoe.
Finally, we get to the defending national champions who will open as the No. 1 team in the country and the favorite to repeat as champions. The Spartans and Buckeyes have provided great theater in recent years and this year should be no different and GameDay will be there to soak it all in.
