8. Zach Terrell to Daniel Braverman and Corey Davis – Western Michigan Broncos
If you haven’t stopped to notice what P.J. Fleck is doing at Western Michigan, then you’re missing out on one of the biggest turnarounds in recent history. After a 1-11 season in his first year with the Broncos in 2013, Fleck led his team to an 8-5 record and a third place finish in their division.
Large amount of that credit goes to the offense in Kalamazoo, particularly the passing offense that ranks among the best in the Group of Five with quarterback Zach Terrell leading the way. He completed 67.9 percent of his passes for 3,443 yards with 26 touchdowns to only 10 interceptions.
Terrell didn’t have just one go-to receiver because Corey Davis and Daniel Braverman were both dangerous and opposing defenses couldn’t focus too much attention on one because the other would dominate. Davis led the team with 1,408 yards on 78 catches with 15 going for touchdowns. He was seventh in yards and tied for third in touchdowns among the nation’s leaders. Braverman led the team with 86 receptions for 997 yards and six touchdowns.
With another year in the system this trio should will be the best in the MAC and one of the best in the country.
