College Football: 10 Teams Who are In the Wrong Conference

College football has become a big business, and the more money a conference makes, the more teams want to join. But there’s no way around the fact that there more than a few schools who are in the wrong conference.

Conference realignment has just gotten silly, and someone needs to pump the brakes. You have to hand it to conferences like the SEC, who can lure just about anyone and have the ability to pick and choose who they want to join their ranks, but that doesn’t mean it’s really the right thing to do.

Conferences used to be about regional pride and good ol’ fashioned rivalries. Now it all boils down to money, TV contracts and who will give their players the most face-time for NFL scouts to see.

Gone are some of the best rivalry games that college football has ever seen, and instead we have ridiculous travel schedules and away games that many fans can’t even begin to fathom how to afford attendance.

Yeah…you remember. Fans? You know, those people who actually buy the tickets and support these programs.

So consider this more than just a list. Think of his as a plea for sanity and the return to some sort of logical thought process. These 10 teams are simply in the wrong conferences, and we can even tell you where they should be sitting.
