2015 Outland Trophy Watch List: Who are the leading candidates?
The 2015 Outland Trophy Watch List was released Friday. Here is a look at the candidates.
Watch list season continues to unveil the candidates for the various college football awards and today the Outland Trophy list was released.

Given to the nation’s top interior lineman, 81 players were selected in all for the list. The SEC led all conferences with 16 representatives, followed by the Pac-12 with 13, the Big 12 and Big 10 with 11, and the ACC with eight. The independent teams were also well represented as BYU and Notre Dame had five players on the list combined.
Brandon Scherff of Iowa won the award last year.

My pick to win the award would be Spencer Drango of Baylor. He enters his fourth season as the Bears’ starting left tackle and at 6-foot-6, 310 pounds, not too many defensive lineman are going to get past him. Look for him to play a key role blocking for the Baylor offensive attack.
