Dismissed Players on New Teams
When players are dismissed from programs and picked up by others, the storylines almost write themselves. Both Nick Marshall and Zach Mettenberger coming back to face Mark Richt and the Georgia program who dismissed them were must-see games.

This year, Georgia is written into the script once more, with two former highly recruited players getting a chance to play after sitting out last season – safety Josh Harvey-Clemons and cornerback Shaq Wiggins. Both will be suiting up to play for the Louisville Cardinals in the ACC, a team looking to become the dark horse in a conference long dominated by FSU.
The Cardinals will also be graced with the services of defensive end Devonte Fields, who was dismissed from TCU in 2013.
Another former Bulldog will be making his debut with the rival Auburn Tigers this season, safety Tray Matthews, who was one of Georgia’s leading tacklers and big-hit men during the 2013 season.
Players like these and others are great stories to watch. Sometimes you get redemption, and other times you see precisely why their previous coaches sent them packing.
