SEC Media Days 2015: Bret Bielema rocks custom Nike Air Force 1’s

SEC Media Days is more than just coaches and players talking about their upcoming season because some coaches are bringing a fashion element to the four-day event, including Arkansas’ Bret Bielema.

Mississippi State head coach turned heads when he rocked a pair of Yeezy Boosts when he spoke at SEC Media Days on Tuesday and said he was all “swagged out” with his Kanye West inspired footwear.

On a day when he received questions about repeating last year’s historic season despite a lack of returning starters and questions about the confederate flag, it was the Yeezy’s that stole the show for the Bulldogs head coach.

Fast forward one day later and another SEC west head coach stole the show with his custom footwear when Arkansas’ Bret Bielema sported a pair of custom Air Force 1’s from Nike.

So who wins the shoe battle between Bielema and Mullen?

I respect both coaches and think they run good, clean, successful programs. However, there can only be one winner here, because we’re not talking about the Big 12 conference champion and for me, the decision is an easy one.

Do I side with the Kanye brand or the one Michael Jordan made famous?

That’s too easy of a call, so Bielema is the winner of the first ever SEC Media Days footwear classic.

Mark Richt, Les Miles and Hugh Freeze close out Media Days tomorrow, so we’ll see if any of the three come out with custom kicks of their own, or if they keep it simple and talk about football.
