Given to the country’s best wide receiver, Alabama’s Amari Cooper was the recipient of the award last season. He certainly was a worthy recipient as he caught led the nation with 124 receptions for 1,727 yards and 16 touchdowns.

My pick to win this award is Rashard Higgins of Colorado State. He led the country with 1,750 receiving yards and caught 17 touchdowns in 2014. His best game came in a 31-24 win over Nevada as he caught 10 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns. That is an astounding 19.4 yards per catch for the number-crunchers at home. Although he will be without quarterback Garrett Grayson, I expect his production to, at the very least, stay at a consistent level.
