SEC Media Days are a wrap from Hoover, Alabama and here are the biggest takeaways from the four-day event.

We’re used to seeing new faces at media days with coaches hired and fired on an annual basis and Florida’s Jim McElwain got his first taste of the event, but the most powerful new face was from new SEC commissioner Greg Sankey who replaced Mike Slive earlier this year.
Sankey kicked things off on Monday and should continue the outstanding work done by his predecessor in helping make the SEC the premier conference in college athletics.
While Sankey is the most powerful man in the SEC, the fans who made the trip to Hoover didn’t come to see the league commissioner, they came to see their favorite coaches and players.
After four days, 14 coaches, 42 players and hundreds of questions beginning with “talk about” these are the biggest takeaways from this year’s SEC Media Days. Once you’re done reading the list, leave your biggest takeaway from the week in the comments section below or on our social media channels.
