Haling out of Long Beach Community College, Allen is the No. 11 junior college recruit in the 2016 class, the No. 2 strong-side defensive end, and the top junior college player in the state of California per the 247Sports Composite Rankings. Now a sophomore, he played one season at LBCC.

He notched 11 offers in total, including several from the Pac-12 in Arizona, Arizona State, and Washington State. Other teams that offered Allen included Boise State and Louisville but in the end, he decided that the Wildcats were the best fit for him.

With this commitment, Allen is the first four-star commit in the Wildcats ’16 class, one that currently ranks No. 36 nationally and No. 6 in the Pac-12 per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Measuring in at 6-foot-4, 260 pounds, he has the skillset to be a major factor on the ‘Cats defensive line. Arizona may tap into Long Beach Community College again as London Iakopo who plays the strong safety position also comes from there according to Jason Bartel of AZDesertSwarm.com and is an Arizona target.

He is very effective at shedding his blocks in order to get to the ballcarrier, using his reach to help him compensate for the times when he may be a step to slow to make the initial tackle.  The Wildcats got an aggressive, physical defensive end who can create havoc anytime he steps on the field. That is certainly music to the program’s ears.
