Group of Five
Being as the NCAA lumps the Group of Five teams (those not lucky enough to have the epithet of “Power-5”), we’ll just do the same.
Most Delusional: Boise State Broncos
We’ve been hearing for years how Boise State is as good as any big time program, and truth be told, they have stepped up and beaten their fair share of the Power-5 schools.

But they do it piecemeal…a game here and there…and that’s just not going to cut it.
When Boise State actually steps into a conference where they have to play a schedule full of ultra-competitive teams on a weekly basis, then the Smurf Turf Nation will have every right to lay claim to being one of the top teams in the country.
Until then, they’re just another potential college football bracket-buster, with long-standing delusions of grandeur.
Slightly off kilter: Marshall Thundering Herd, Memphis Tigers, South Florida Bulls, Bowling Green Falcons, Northern Illinois Huskies
Fans of the above teams do have some legitimate reason to be proud and positive, but its doubtful (and most of them know it) that they’ll have any real shot at making the College Football Playoff or contending for a national title.
