2. Georgia vs. Florida

It doesn’t matter if you’re a Bulldogs fan or a Gators fan. Both will agree there is no excuse good enough to miss the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party.

For Florida, this year’s cocktail party may not turn out to be very fun. Georgia is the favorite to win the SEC East going into the season, and they look the part. Their defense is solid and their linemen on both sides of the field are some of the best in the SEC. Georgia’s weakness now lies at quarterback, basically because Mark Richt hasn’t decided on one yet out of the three that are in consideration, a situation Florida can certainly relate to.

However, this game takes place more than halfway through the season. We can assume by that point, Georgia’s quarterback will not only have been decided, but will have played through several games already. Florida fans can only hope that their own quarterback situation will have progressed to the same point, but even that won’t be enough to have a chance against Georgia. Florida’s offensive line will need to work as a united front with the quarterback, wide receivers, and running backs to not only help them make plays but keep the ball protected. Turnovers are always nails in the coffin in the SEC.

Let’s also not forget that Florida beat Georgia last year, in a game neither team seemed to expect. Georgia fans will be bringing thoughts of revenge along their mixed drinks to Jacksonville this year.
