Taylor is the No. 282 player in the 2016 class, the No. 13 running back, and the top player in the state of Missouri per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
He received 13 offers in total, but decided that Wisconsin fit best. He was recruited by wide receivers coach Ted Gilmore who was Taylor’s lead recruiter. Taking an unofficial visit to Wisconsin on March 15, he was officially offered by the program the day after. Taking an unofficial visit to Wisconsin on April 25, that would be his final one before he committed on Saturday.

The Badgers now have three four-star commitments with offensive tackle Cole Van Lanen (Green Bay, WI. Bay Port) and running back Antonio Williams (New London, N.C. North Stanly) also carrying that distinction. Standing 16 commitments strong, the class ranks No. 31 nationally and No. 7 in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Team Rankings.
Measuring in at 5-foot-11, 190 pounds, Taylor plays bigger than his size may indicate. He is not afraid to attack the open holes and is particularly dangerous when he is able to find the open field. Once he does so, he accelerates and is very difficult to tackle. This should help the Badgers run-heavy offense tremendously.
This was a big commitment today for the Badgers. They got a tremendous back who will fit well into their run-first system. If everything goes as projected, the Badgers will continue to have a strong rushing attack for years to come.
