Who: 5-Star WR Nate Craig-Myers
- Hometown/High School: Tampa, FL /Tampa Catholic
- Rankings: No. 18 overall, No. 1 receiver and No. 6 in FL
After decommitting from Auburn on May 6, Nate Craig-Myers is back on the market. He is a tremendous route-runner who does a nice job of getting yards after the catch. Once he gets separation from his defender, he is almost impossible to catch as he uses his speed to execute the big play. Myers also is very elusive, particularly in screen situations as defenders have a hard time bringing him down due to his ability to juke on a dime.
The program that I see him going to is Florida State. At 6-foot-2, 205 pounds he could open up their offense and allow the Seminoles to stretch the field. Since his decommitment, Seminoles wide receivers coach, and co-offensive coordinator Lawrence Dawsey visited him, and he took a visit to Tallahassee on July 16, for one of Florida State’s camps.
A commitment from Myers would strengthen FSU’s 2016 troop which currently stands at 18 commitments is ranked No. 3 nationally and No. 1 in the ACC per the 247Sports Composite Rankings.
Craig-Myers would be the second wide receiver in the ’16 class and the fourth five-star commitment. He would give the ‘Noles a potential, speedy deep threat to add to their already talented passing game with George Campbell, Travis Rudolph and Ermon Lane giving Florida State one of the best young groups of receivers in the country.
This would be a huge get for the program and one that could really quicken the program’s quest for a national title.
