Every college football team has good players, but some are much more valuable than others. We take a closer look at the most important player for each SEC football team.
Football is the greatest team sport on the planet because the success or failure of each play depends on the individual assignments of 11 different players. For example, a perfectly blocked play-action fake can give a strong-armed, accurate quarterback the time necessary to launch a 55-yard bomb to a wide-open receiver. But if the wideout drops the pass, it’s all for nothing.

Of course, football also creates many opportunities for players to make spectacular plays that make them legends. And the more talent a particular player possesses, the more likely he is to make his block, or throw an accurate pass, or catch the pass and score a touchdown.
However, if one of those eleven players suffers an unfortunate injury or makes a questionable decision off the field that results in a suspension, there’s a greater chance for more sacks, more poorly thrown deep balls and a replacement receiver that’s not quite fast enough to make the catch.
Looking ahead to the 2015 SEC football season, the conference is once again stocked with elite talent at nearly every position. In fact, every team has at least a few talented players capable of making big plays this fall.
But just because a player is super talented doesn’t mean he’s the most valuable member of his team – even if he’s a future first round pick in the NFL Draft. Some squads can overcome the loss of a particular player because they have depth at his particular position. Others would be doomed.
So, who is the most important player for each SEC football program to achieve success in 2015? Which 14 players are the most irreplaceable? Let’s take a look.
