The Florida State Seminoles have been the center of college football for the past couple years, can Jimbo Fisher and the ‘Noles keep up the dominance and remain the kings of the ACC? These are their most important games on their quest to remain atop the ACC.

The season is almost upon us, and a new cast of Florida State Seminoles look to keep their perch on the top of the ACC food chain.

More from ACC

The Seminoles left the Rose Bowl with a sour taste in their mouths after a devastating loss at the hands of the Oregon Ducks. Jameis Winston, the Heisman trophy winning quarterback, ran off to the NFL, and now Fisher and company have to truck forward without their best player, as well as other notable talent that moved on to the next level.

They will be led by former Notre Dame quarterback Everett Golson who transferred into the program after losing his starting job with the Fighting Irish. Golson is a dual-threat player, in 2014 he recorded 29 touchdowns through the air, and another eight on the ground. He’ll be looking to fill some awfully big shoes and help the ‘Noles maintain their chokehold on the ACC.

Florida State’s schedule is rather favorable for a team that is a revolving door of talent, to say that their upcoming schedule isn’t the most difficult of schedules might be somewhat of an understatement. However, the garnet and gold have just enough tests in the road for them to be offered a challenge this year.

Here we’re going to take a look at the five most important games for the Seminoles of Florida State this football season.
