If Georgia Tech is to capture their first outright ACC championship since 1990 these five games will be the difference.
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets have seen drastic improvement over the past two seasons and in 2015, are ranked 17 in AP’s preseason poll. The team finished 11-3 in 2014, defeating the seventh-ranked Mississippi State in the Orange Bowl.

They were 6-2 in the division, best in the Coastal Conference and tied for second in the ACC (Clemson also finished 6-2). However, Georgia Tech still has to prove its worth this year, playing against four teams inside AP’s preseason top 12 and one on the cusp of the top 25.
Let’s take a look at the five most important games for Paul Johnson’s club that looks to repeat as division champions and win their first conference championship since 2009, although that was vacated due to NCAA violations, otherwise it’s been since 1998 when they were co-champions and 1990 when they were outright champions.
If Georgia Tech can go 4-1 in these five games, there’s a great chance they’ll snap that championship drought and possibly earn a berth in the College Football Playoff.
